Chama Water and Sanitation Project

In Zambia more than 97% of households do not have year round access to clean water. A recent study found that on average those collecting water must travel over 1km to their nearest source. In the majority of cases the water collected is unfit for human consumption and is considered to be the main cause of diseases such as diarrhoea which currently affects 28% of children under five.

This project will focus on reducing water related diseases through the provision of clean, safe drinking water, and improved sanitary facilities and practices.

The major activity targets for the Chama Water and Sanitation Project are:

• Drill 30 boreholes and install hand pumps to cater for a population of 15,000
• Construct 30 ventilation-improved pit latrines

Stratco and World Vision are working together to help fund The Chama Water and Sanitation Project. $5 from every Aqua-Mod™ and Aqua-Barrel® tank goes directly to the Project.

2009 Calendars

Stratco Direct Top Footy Tippers for 2008

Congratulations to Brad Grosse and Jason Gadsby for being the Stratco Direct Top Footy Tippers for 2008.

The Stratco Direct AFL Footy Tipping winner is Brad Grosse from South Australia with an impressive score of 126. Well done Brad!

As the winner of the footy tipping competition Brad has won two reserved tickets to the AFL Grand Final at the MCG, two tickets to the Adelaide Crows pre-grand final function, return airfares for two to Melbourne and two nights accommodation at The Marriott Melbourne.
