By now, most of you would have heard of Andrew ‘Cosi’ Costello. Starring on his own television show South Aussie with Cosi on Channel 7, this farmer-turned-celebrity has cemented himself as a South Australian icon. Despite the fame, Cosi is still a farmer at heart. Out on his property in the Adelaide Hills, he dreamed of creating a free-range piggery for his pigs to live an incredible life. To do this, he needed to build a shed for his pigs to eat, sleep, and have their piglets in. For Cosi, he has only ever used one company for his custom shed builds and that company is Stratco. How fitting for a South Australian icon to choose a South Australian owned brand!
Creating the best shed for Cosi and his pigs!
Cosi headed down to our Stratco store in Mount Barker and met up with Will, one of our talented designers who was able to help bring Cosi’s shed to life. Using Stratco’s design software, Will was able to render a 3D model of the shed that Cosi sketched up, aligning perfectly with Cosi’s vision for the project. With the design ready to go and a copy sent to Cosi’s phone, it was time to head back to the Adelaide Hills to watch Cosi’s vision come to life.
Onto the farm for the agricultural shed
Cosi went back to his property for the build of his agricultural shed and didn’t have to lift a finger! Luckily for Cosi, the shed install team were able to assemble the shed in no time at all. The build boasts some incredible features, including:
- High-quality steel with long-term endurance in mind
- 5 Spacious bays – 3 for when the pigs are giving birth and 2 for roaming
- Sturdy galvanised C-section beams to create a rigid frame
- Industry leading manufacturing technologies
The finished product was exactly how Cosi imagined, and his pigs were ecstatic about their new shed!
