Before You Begin

Before starting assembly, unpack your garden bed kit and confirm that all components are included.

Components Included

  • 2 long side panels
  • 2 short side panels
  • 4 corner pieces
  • Bolts and wing nuts
  • Installation instructions

Recommended Safety Equipment

As with any DIY project, ensure you're working safely by wearing:

Choose a flat work area with enough space to lay out all components before assembly.

Step 1: Identify the Correct Corner Orientation

Each corner piece is designed to match the corrugated profile of the side panels.

To ensure the correct orientation:

  1. Position a corner piece against a side panel.
  2. Check that the corrugations align neatly.
  3. If the profiles don't match, rotate the corner piece until they fit together correctly.

When positioned correctly, the corrugated contours will follow each other smoothly.

Step 2: Connect the First Side Panel

The side panels feature a folded edge designed to fit over the corner pieces.

To attach the panel:

  1. Place the corner piece inside the side panel.
  2. Ensure the folded edge of the panel sits over the corner piece.
  3. Align the fixing holes in both components.

The corner piece should sit inside the panel, creating a clean and secure connection.

Step 3: Loosely Secure the Corner

Insert the supplied bolts through the top and bottom holes only.

  1. Push the bolts through from the outside of the garden bed.
  2. Secure each bolt with a wing nut on the inside.
  3. Leave the middle holes empty for now.

This allows flexibility while the remaining sides are assembled and helps ensure all holes align correctly later.

Step 4: Assemble the Remaining Sides

Repeat the same process for each corner and side panel until all four sides are connected.

At this stage:

  • All corners should be connected.
  • The top and bottom bolts should be installed.
  • The middle holes should remain unfastened.

Once assembled, check that the garden bed is sitting square and all remaining holes are aligned.

Step 5: Install the Remaining Fixings

After confirming everything is aligned:

  1. Insert the remaining bolts through the centre holes.
  2. Attach the wing nuts.
  3. Tighten all fixings evenly around the garden bed.

Your garden bed should now be fully assembled and secure.

Assembling a Double Height CGI Garden Bed

For Stratco Corrugated Double Height Garden Beds, the installation process begins by assembling the lower section as outlined above.

Once complete:

  1. Remove the top row of bolts and wing nuts from the lower section.
  2. Assemble the upper section, leaving the bottom row of holes unfastened.
  3. Position the upper section on top of the lower section.
  4. Align the holes between both sections.
  5. Secure the sections together using the supplied bolts and wing nuts.

This creates a taller garden bed with additional soil capacity and easier access for planting and maintenance.

Choosing the Best Location

For optimal performance, place your Corrugated Garden Bed in a soft landscaped area such as:

  • Lawn
  • Soil
  • Garden beds
  • Mulched areas

Avoid installing the garden bed on hard surfaces such as paving, concrete or decking.

When watering your plants, excess moisture can naturally drain from the base of the garden bed. Positioning it on a permeable surface helps manage drainage and supports healthy plant growth.

Fill and Plant Your Garden Bed

Once assembled, fill your garden bed with quality soil and planting mix suitable for your chosen plants.
