Stratco Gift Card Policy
Acceptance of terms and conditions
By purchasing, redeeming or attempting to redeem a Gift Card, you accept and become bound by the terms and conditionsbelow as varied from time to time.
We reserve the right to vary these terms and conditions at any time and without notice. Please check these terms and conditions on the Stratco Website at regular intervals for any changes.
Purchasing Gift Cards
You may purchase Gift Cards In Store by payment in cash or by debit or credit card. Gift Cards may only be purchased with the value specified on the Gift Card.
Gift Cards will be activated at the point of sale by our sales operators. There may be a short delay in processing the activation of Gift Cards during which time, the Gift Card may not be redeemed.
Gift Cards and promotions and competitions
We may from time to time issue Gift Cards as a promotion or as a prize in our competitions. Such Gift Cards may only be used by the persons to whom they are issued. We may require any person presenting such Gift Cards for redemption to provide proof of their identity or other eligibility to use the Gift Cards to our satisfaction.
How and when you can redeem a Gift Card
A Gift Card may only be redeemed by the purchase of goods and services In Store. Gift Cards cannot be redeemed by purchases on line, over the telephone or by facsimile, nor can they be used to pay an interest free deposit or to pay an existing credit account.
You may not use a Gift Card to make purchases that are prohibited or restricted by law.
Purchases exceeding the value of a Gift Card
A Gift Card may only be redeemed by purchases up to the value specified on the Gift Card. If you wish to make a purchase that exceeds that value, you must pay the excess using another method of payment.
Multiple purchases using a Gift Card
A Gift Card may be redeemed in one or more transactions. When making purchases using the Gift Card, the balance on your Gift Card will be reduced by the value of the purchase. The remaining balance may be used by making future purchases subject to these terms and conditions.
You may check the balance on your Gift Card and relevant transaction history by making In Store enquires with our sales operators.
Destruction of Gift Card on redemption
Once your Gift Card is fully redeemed, it should be destroyed.
Gift Cards that have been damaged or tampered with
A Gift Card that has been damaged or altered, defaced or otherwise tampered with, whether for fraudulent purposes or otherwise, will become void and may not be redeemed. Such Gift Cards will not be replaced or refunded.
Reversal of redemption
The redemption of Gift Cards may not be cancelled or reversed except with our approval which we may give or withhold at ourdiscretion. This does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law or under our returns policy in respect of goods or services purchased on redemption of a Gift Card.
No exchange
Gift Cards cannot be cancelled, exchanged or redeemed for cash.
Expiry of Gift Cards
Gift Cards will expire on the third anniversary of their date of issue, or any other term as required by legislation, if they are not redeemed inaccordance with these terms and conditions.
Lost or stolen Gift Cards
Gift Cards should be treated like cash. Lost or stolen Gift Cards will not be replaced or refunded.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the use and safety of your Gift Card. We are not responsible for any transactions using your Gift Card except to the extent that there has been fraud or negligence by us or by any of our employees.
Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by law, we exclude all responsibility for any harm to any person or property or for any loss of profits or other indirect or consequential loss relating to the purchase, redemption or attempted redemption of Gift Cards. This does not affect your rights in respect of goods or services purchased on redemption of a Gift Card.
We exclude all responsibility for any tax, liability or duty arising from purchase, redemption or attempted redemption of Gift Cards and in respect of the purchase of goods or services on redemption of a Gift Card.
No waiver
No granting of time indulgence or failure to enforce a provision of these terms and conditions shall constitute a waiver by us of the same.
Privacy
We collect personal information to provide and market our products and services. That information may be disclosed to our contractors who assist us with these activities, however it will not be disclosed to overseas recipients unless required by law. Our Privacy Policy contains information about how an individual may access or correct information we hold about the individual, how complaints about a breach of privacy can be made to us and how such complaints will be dealt with. General
These terms and conditions cover the entire agreement and understanding between you and us relating to your purchase, redemption or attempt to redeem a Gift Card.
The validity and interpretation of these terms and conditions are governed by the laws of South Australia. Any dispute in connection with these terms and conditions is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Australia.
If any part orall of any provision of these terms and conditionsbecomes or is found to be illegal or unenforceable, that provision may be severed from these terms and conditionsand theremaining provisions shall continue in force.
Definitions
In these terms and conditionsunless the context otherwise requires:
- Australian Consumer Law means the law set out in Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)
- Gift Cardmeans a Gift Card issued by us or available for purchase from us in accordance with these terms and conditions
- In Store means a Stratco store or outlet and does not include virtual or online stores or points of sale
- Stratco Website means the website at www.stratco.com.au
- We, our, us and Stratco refers to Sleco Pty Ltd ACN 007 893 781 and its related bodies corporate (as defined in the Corporations Act 2001)
- You, you and yours refers to any person purchasing, redeeming or attempting to redeem a Gift Card and includes a person who places an order for or pays for a Gift Card.
Interpretation
In these terms and conditions, unless the context otherwise requires:
- headings do not affect interpretation
- singular includes plural and plural includes singular
- a referenceto a party includes its executors, administrators, successors and permitted assigns
- a referenceto a person includes a partnership, corporation, association, government body and any other entity
- a provision is not to be construed against a person because that person prepared it.
