Backyard Week on The Block 2026: Upgrade Your Backyard With Stratco

Backyard Week is one of the most anticipated weeks on The Block, and this season in Mount Eliza, Stratco is right at the centre of it. Three of the five teams used Stratco products to create outdoor spaces made for storing, cooking, dining and relaxing.

From a modern garden shed to a motorised louvre patio and a narrow shed that doubles as a bar and grill, here is how Stratco helped Houses 1, 2 and 3 make the most of their backyards, and how you can do the same at home.

House 1: Lisa & Rosco's Handi-Pod™ Garden Shed

House 1 wanted a modern outdoor storage solution, and Lisa & Rosco chose the Stratco Handi-Pod™ HP1, measuring 2.17 metres wide by 1.41 metres deep. Its contemporary look, modular sectional design and reverse sloping skillion roof give it standout style.

The real secret is the utility ribs. They let you install Handi-Pod™ accessories including pegboard panels, corner shelves and two sizes of 434mm deep wall shelves, so the inside adapts to whatever you need to store. An integrated gutter and downpipe, concealed fixings and a double skinned hinged door complete the package, and you can assemble it yourself or ask Stratco to install it.

House 2: Chantel & Wyatt's Outback® Sunroof Patio

Chantel & Wyatt created the ultimate entertaining zone with a 5 x 4 metre Stratco Outback® Sunroof patio covering an outdoor kitchen, pizza oven and generous table and seating space.

The motorised louvre blades adjust at the touch of a button, giving full control over light and airflow, and six low voltage plug and play downlights adjust from the same single remote. A dark Deep Space or Ebony frame blends with the house window and door frames, while Alpine® louvres and gutter give a clean white ceiling when closed. It is backed by a 25 year warranty.

House 3: Adam & Jolene's Umbra™ Awning Shed

Adam & Jolene took the Stratco Umbra™ Awning Shed, a modern narrow shed with a tilt door on gas struts that works as an awning, and used its built in ventilation to create an Argentinian bar and grill hub. It is ready for smoky meats cooked over an open fire, and perfect for gatherings with friends and family.

Clad in Stratco Hiland Tray®, with a slot and lock frame and optional LED strip lights, pegboards and heat shields, it is built to handle rain, hail and shine.

Backyard Week is just one part of Stratco's season on The Block 2026. Our biggest build on the show is Scotty's HQ, a Stratco Big Shed measuring 53 metres long, 20 metres wide and 4.5 metres high. It is one of the largest builds in the show's history and is home to the Sunday night reveals.

Whether it is a compact garden shed or a large span shed, Stratco has the engineering, Colorbond® steel and local manufacturing to bring your project to life.

Plus, when you purchase a Stratco Big Shed, you will go into the draw to win a John Deere Gator XUV or $15,000 cash. Terms and conditions apply.
